Both the cee'd hatchback and estate show their clear Kia family connection however both have distinct individual styling. The new vibrant "Kia face" is made up of the re-designed chrome grille, front bumper and sophisticated black bezel headlamps, as well as a reshaped bonnet. The rear has also been given an elegant remodelled bumper for the hatchback and new tail lights on both models and are accompanied by body coloured bumpers and door handles.

The ceed's new range divulges smooth fluid lines whilst the aerodynamic design increased stability and provides more efficient fuel economy.

Once inside the Kia cee'd you'll notice how beautifully crafted and modern it feels. With its shrewd new centre fascia, CD/MP3 audio and steering-wheel which now features ergonomic easily accessible CD and MP3 controls, there are copious amounts of well-considered technology. This combined with air conditioning and a cooled glove box which now come as standard and little things like a cup holder in the centre console and a rear coat hook to really enhance the luxury this hatchback has to offer.

The cee'd range is now more ergonomically designed so as soon as you step behind the wheel you should feel relaxed and in control. There is a drivers seat height adjust and a tilt and telescopic steering wheel. The seats now feature lumbar support and active headrests so whilst you maintain a comfortable driving position safety is as standard. The new cee'd boasts an expansive cabin with head and leg room galore.

Safety in the Kia cee'd is top notch and comes with Vehicle Stability Management System - Electronic Stability Control (ESC) (improves stability in extreme driving conditions by correcting under and overseer.) Brake-Assist System (BAS) and Hill-start Assist System (HAC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD to ensure braking is evenly distributed between the four wheels to keep you in full control whatever the road conditions.) and gives you complete piece of mind.

The cee'd range also has front seat active headrests to help prevent whiplash, neck and head injuries. There are also six airbags: twin front, front side and full-length curtain airbags to protect all passengers and rear ISOFIX child seat anchors now as standard.

The cee'd range offers active driving technology to enhance road handling and stability. To ensure a comfortable drive there is fully independent front and rear suspension combined with electric power assisted steering meaning you are in complete control of the road ahead.

Kia have launched brand new EcoDynamics technology to the cee'd range - Kia's first showcase of eco-friendly and forward thinking systems on our the1.6 litre CRDi (89bhp) diesel engine. Intelligent Stop and Go (ISG) technology.

This fantastic bit of technology means when you stop at traffic lights, put the vehicle into neutral and remove your foot from the clutch, the engine will switch off, and as soon as you de-press the clutch the engine will switch on again instantly so are ready to move off. ISG technology can reduce fuel consumption by up to 12%, whilst reducing noise and exhaust emissions too. With low resistance tyres (on all 15" and16" wheels) increasing the overall efficiency of the cee'd range. All elements work together to create what Kia call "EcoDynamics.

The cee'd comes in two 1.6 diesel engines in either 89 or 113 bhp power outputs and the key to the triumph of the engines is a range of advanced technologies including an advanced turbocharger and second generation Bosch fuel injection. Fuel economy and performance will not do un-noticed.

If it's petrol engine you are after, you'll enjoy the choice of 1.4 litre (89 bhp) which is only available on the 5-door, or 1.6 litre (124 bhp) engine. All engines feature CCVT (Continuous Variable Valve Timing) technology and electronic fuel injection to boost performance.
